Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations by performing preliminary interviews and collecting relevant information to assess clients from the initial consultation to the conclusion of their treatment.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans that cater to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, promoting their overall mental wellness.

• Facilitate therapeutic interventions through individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive atmosphere for open discussions and healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health professionals, physicians, and social workers, to align intervention strategies and share insights on client care.

• Maintain follow-up communications with psychiatrists for clients requiring inpatient hospital care, ensuring continuity of care and effective transition back to outpatient services.

• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may obstruct clients’ recovery journeys, employing proactive strategies to support positive changes.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to manage and understand the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Pavilion Psychotherapy Services, you will work with a varied clientele, addressing diverse mental health challenges. This includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your role will contribute significantly to fostering resilience and recovery within the community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW within the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in a mental health counseling role.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Knowledge of and experience with mental health issues related to physical health conditions and addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong understanding of medications prescribed for mental health conditions and their potential effects.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients.

• A compassionate and empathetic disposition, with excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in a community health setting or a mental health clinic.

• Experience working with diverse populations, understanding the cultural nuances that may affect mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
