Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to understand client histories and evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaboratively developing individualized treatment plans in partnership with clients, aligning with their specific needs, goals, and preferences.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), that promote effective coping strategies and emotional regulation.

• Educating and supporting clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their healing journey.

• Monitoring and tracking clients' progress diligently throughout the treatment process, ensuring that adjustments to treatment plans are made as necessary.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and comprehensive care.

• Remaining current with the latest developments in mood disorder treatment, employing evidence-based research to inform practices.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical skills while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

• Advocating for clients by promoting understanding of mood disorders and working towards destigmatization within the greater community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Heartlight Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients, particularly those experiencing various mood disorders. The work will require sensitivity, empathy, and professionalism to support individuals who may face cultural, socioeconomic, and emotional barriers to mental health care.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid and active license as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
\n
• A Master's degree in Social Work or Marriage Family Therapy.
\n
• At least 3 years of relevant experience providing mental health counseling.
\n
• An understanding of California Law and Professional Ethics in mental health practice.
\n
• A current TB Test (within the last six months) and the ability to clear a background check through the FBI and DOJ.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience addressing learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and social or emotional disorders will find their expertise valued in our practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, ensuring that our staff are well taken care of.
