Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, preferences, and treatment goals.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on recovery, resilience-building, and the individual needs of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, learn effective coping strategies, and encourage emotional healing.

• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to provide comprehensive care that addresses the holistic needs of the patient.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and effective responses to acute patient needs.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their support systems.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will be primarily on survivors of trauma, including individuals affected by PTSD, complex trauma, sexual abuse, and psychological distress due to various life experiences. This role provides the unique opportunity to work with a diverse population, ensuring each patient receives personalized care and support tailored to their unique trauma narrative.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in Illinois.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach towards patient care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and standard computer applications relevant to clinical documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, particularly within trauma-focused practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
