Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience-building, utilizing evidence-based modalities.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing specific therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, responding effectively to high-stress situations.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure integrated care, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and develop coping mechanisms to enhance their healing journey.

• Document all patient interactions meticulously in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will center around working with diverse individuals affected by trauma. These may include adults and adolescents grappling with PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. By applying specialized trauma-informed techniques, you will help patients navigate their unique challenges, fostering an environment conducive to healing and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment practices.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• Capability to work well under stress, maintaining composure in crisis situations.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for effective patient management.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of respect and cooperation.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with strong clinical practice in trauma-focused therapies and demonstrated success in working with trauma survivors will be given priority. Experience with group therapy facilitation and knowledge of various therapeutic interventions are also highly desirable.
