Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite in the patients' homes, providing you with the unique opportunity to deliver personalized therapy in a comfortable, familiar setting. The flexible schedule—Monday to Friday—allows you to choose your hours, enabling a work-life balance that accommodates both personal and professional obligations. You'll be a part of a supportive team, working closely with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in their home environment, assessing their physical condition and specific needs.
• Establish and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training.
• Monitor patient progress, document outcomes meticulously, and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and clinical judgment.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises, proper body mechanics, and the use of assistive devices, fostering a collaborative approach to recovery.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, participating in case conferences and providing expertise in the physical therapy domain.
• Stay abreast of current best practices by attending workshops, contributing to professional networks, and participating in relevant educational opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Your compassionate approach and tailored interventions will significantly aid patients' rehabilitation journeys, helping them regain their functional independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license in Physical Therapy, or eligibility for licensure in Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in word processing and other computer skills necessary for documentation and communication.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of patients throughout their rehabilitation process.

Preferred Experience

• Prior work experience in outpatient care or home health environments is desirable but not mandatory; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience working with orthopedic patients or in rehabilitation settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
