Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical capabilities and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based interventions aimed at promoting recovery in a variety of orthopedic conditions, adjusting therapy techniques based on patient progress and feedback.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering trust and rapport with each patient and their families, ensuring an optimal healing environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes through integrated care approaches, sharing insights and innovations in therapy methodologies.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about treatment goals, care techniques, and recovery strategies to empower them in their health journey.
• Achieve minimum utilization goals and contribute to the center's overall performance objectives through effective therapy management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Clearwater Valley Rehabilitation Center serves a diverse patient population that includes individuals of all ages requiring orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine rehabilitation. Your role will encompass treating patients with various diagnoses, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, degenerative conditions, and more. Providing personalized, compassionate care will be key to helping these patients regain strength, mobility, and independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• State licensure in Physical Therapy to practice within Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective patient interactions and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Proficiency with word processing and digital documentation systems to maintain accurate patient records.
• Capability to build trusting relationships with patients, facilitating their success in achieving functional milestones.

Preferred Experience

While a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred, it is critical that candidates demonstrate a passion for patient care and a desire to engage positively with the community.
