Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, documenting client cases meticulously.

• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
\n
• Develop and implement customized intervention and treatment strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing guidance, therapeutic techniques, and support to clients.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure effective recovery.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize client outcomes.
\n
• Manage referrals appropriately and provide families and caregivers with strategies to support their loved ones' mental health challenges.
\n
• Proactively identify behaviors that may hinder client recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these factors.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse range of clients dealing with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction disorders. You will serve individuals from different backgrounds, including families and couples, and work collaboratively with them to achieve meaningful outcomes. Your empathy and clinical expertise will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their challenges and foster resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• A minimum of two years of experience providing mental health counseling.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR, for efficient documentation and case management.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients who have physical health conditions as well as emotional and addiction-related disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• An understanding of the pharmacological interventions prescribed by medical professionals and their implications for mental health treatment.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities complemented by excellent interpersonal skills that exhibit empathy and support.
