As a remote mental health therapist, you will engage with patients through telehealth platforms, utilizing secure and user-friendly technologies to maintain an intimate therapeutic relationship. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and establish suitable treatment plans.

• Develop, implement, and adapt individualized treatment strategies tailored to each patient's unique recovery needs, focusing on building resilience and facilitating healing.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address trauma-related symptoms.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, where patients can process their experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and foster connections with others on a similar journey.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care, embracing the strengths of a diverse team.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, offering necessary support and guidance as patients navigate acute distress.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, supporting them in understanding available resources and coping mechanisms.

• Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential documentation in adherence with legal and ethical standards to ensure comprehensive patient records.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities, emphasizing trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research, methodologies, and trends in trauma therapy to continuously enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The individuals you will work with include those dealing with the aftermath of significant trauma, ranging from childhood abuse and neglect to combat-related PTSD and other emotionally taxing events. Your role will be pivotal in helping these patients navigate their experiences while fostering an atmosphere of trust, understanding, and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.

• Strong foundational knowledge regarding trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications in a remote work setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
