In this remote position, you'll interact closely with our outpatient team through virtual meetings and consultations. The primary working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents, ensuring a tailored approach to care.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans by considering developmental milestones, family dynamics, and engagement levels.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to administer individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers with strategies to create nurturing home environments conducive to mental health.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a comprehensive care strategy that addresses both medical and psychological needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in acute mental health situations, effectively managing emergencies with professionalism.

• Educate young clients and their families regarding mental health diagnoses and available treatment and community resources.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards while ensuring clinical notes reflect the treatment process and outcomes.

• Actively engage in team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaborative efforts and integrate peer feedback into practice.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health, contributing to team knowledge and improving service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily focus on children and adolescents facing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, attention deficits, and various behavioral challenges. Your work will center on ensuring that these young patients receive a holistic treatment approach, improving not just their individual well-being but also enhancing family dynamics and overall community mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in New York State.

• Solid understanding of child and adolescent psychological disorders and therapeutic modalities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate ability to engage children and families.

• Tech-savvy, with proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various cloud-based communication tools, ensuring efficient case management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
