This full-time position will allow you to work remotely while providing critical mental health services to individuals who have experienced trauma, with a focus on helping them navigate their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and identify pertinent treatment approaches tailored to individual needs.

• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and building resilience in each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address trauma.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a secure space for patients to process trauma, develop coping strategies, and encourage healing.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating the ability to remain composed in high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, thereby empowering them on their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities focused on trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy and incorporate them into treatment approaches as appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve are primarily individuals who have experienced various types of trauma, including but not limited to domestic violence, abuse, and combat-related experiences. Our outpatient facility welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds, navigating complex emotional landscapes. You will play an essential role in guiding them towards healing and recovery through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Texas.
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly involving trauma-informed care.
\n
• Thorough knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient interactions.
\n
• Ability to manage high-stress environments while providing effective crisis intervention and support.
\n
• Comfort and proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications essential for documentation and patient care.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience\n

Preference will be given to candidates who have specific experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and those who have been involved in collaborative care settings. Candidates with training in EMDR and TF-CBT are especially encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits\n
