Work Environment

The role is conducted onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Bayonne, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and medical histories to tailor individualized treatment plans that address their specific goals and concerns.
• Provide compassionate and effective therapy services that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Monitor and regularly document patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, participating in meetings to discuss treatment strategies and patient progress.
• Educate patients and families on effective therapeutic techniques, creating customized home exercise programs and preventing further injuries.
• Implement fall prevention strategies and safety measures to minimize risks for patients living in assisted care environments.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and committed to continuous professional development through ongoing education.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on the geriatric population, which often includes patients dealing with age-related conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, and post-surgical rehabilitation from hip or knee replacements. Qualifications

• A graduate of an accredited program with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. A Doctorate or Master's degree is favorable.
• Current and active State licensure as a Physical Therapist is required.
• Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMRs) for effective documentation and patient tracking.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, their families, and a team of healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a patient-centered approach focused on independence, safety, and improving quality of life.
• Ability to work autonomously while also being an effective collaborator within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in geriatric therapy is preferred; however, motivated new graduates committed to pursuing a career in geriatric care are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
