Work Environment\n

This full-time position is primarily conducted remotely, utilizing telehealth platforms to facilitate therapy sessions. Our commitment to utilizing technology ensures that you can attend to patients from anywhere, while maintaining a flexible schedule. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility as required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your role will encompass a variety of therapeutic and administrative responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insights into patients’ trauma histories and to determine effective, tailored treatment strategies.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and therapeutic outcomes.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and coping.

• Leading individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and build effective coping strategies.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to deliver integrated care and ensure comprehensive support for all patients.

• Providing timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms available to them.

• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to support patient care.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals suffering from various trauma-related disorders, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your efforts will be crucial in offering support to trauma survivors, guiding them through their recovery journeys with understanding and expertise.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience working in a mental health setting, preferably focusing on trauma care.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance and accurate tracking of patient progress.

• A capacity to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, providing effective support for patients in crisis.

Compensation and Benefits\n
