Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions via our telehealth platform. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though some flexibility may be required to accommodate the needs of our clients. You will work within a tight-knit team of professionals who share a deep commitment to trauma recovery.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to gather comprehensive information about patients' trauma history and presenting issues.

• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs, focusing on resilience and trauma recovery strategies.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma, building coping mechanisms, and fostering healing.
\n
• Coordinating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for patients.
\n
• Assisting patients during crisis situations, offering timely interventions and support.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintaining precise and confidential records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Staying informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to survivors of domestic violence, emotional abuse, complex trauma, and those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Your empathetic approach will be critical in establishing trust and rapport with patients, facilitating their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, embodying a compassionate and non-judgmental stance.
\n
• Proficiency with EHR systems and other relevant computer applications.

• An ability to collaboratively work within a multidisciplinary treatment team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Applicants with at least two years of post-licensure experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be preferred. Knowledge of effective resilience-building approaches and experience in crisis intervention are also valuable assets.
