Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions in an outpatient setting.
• Designing individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation to help alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Implementing and adjusting treatment protocols based on patient progress; utilizing data-driven assessments to inform decisions.
• Tracking and documenting each patient's progress meticulously, maintaining accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Providing education and training to patients, families, and caregivers about therapeutic techniques and the use of assistive devices to promote independence.
• Engaging in multidisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
• Staying current with industry trends through continuous education and participation in professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a varied patient population, spanning all ages and encompassing a wide array of orthopedic conditions. You will work closely with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgical procedures, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, and other musculoskeletal issues. Understanding each patient's unique background and medical history will be vital to tailoring effective rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs and treatment scenarios.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive salary range of USD $100,000 – $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a generous benefits package that includes:
