EvenCare Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist, specifically holding an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW credential, to join our compassionate and forward-thinking team. Work Environment

As a remote position, this role allows for flexible working arrangements while utilizing telehealth technology. You will engage with patients via virtual platforms ensuring high-quality, accessible mental health services from the comfort of their own homes. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts depending on patient needs. You will have the benefit of working within a supportive and collaborative environment, where team meetings and case conferences are conducted virtually to foster teamwork and knowledge-sharing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that consider the interplay between medical conditions and mental health status.
• Develop tailored, integrated treatment plans that address both psychiatric and physical health needs, ensuring informed, individualized patient care.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based methodologies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), customized to each patient’s circumstances and preferences.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse team of medical professionals, ensuring coordinated care and improving patient treatment outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients facing mental health emergencies, applying skills acquired through training and experience.
• Educate patients about the crucial relationship between mental health and physical well-being, helping them develop self-management strategies to navigate their conditions effectively.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical practices.
• Engage in interdisciplinary care planning and actively participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with complex medical and psychiatric issues, predominantly those with co-occurring conditions such as chronic pain and substance use disorders. You will play a significant role in addressing the unique needs of this population, enhancing their overall health outcomes through integrated therapies and support.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related fields from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in the state of California.
• Demonstrated proficiency in addressing the mental health challenges faced by individuals with co-occurring medical conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients in a virtual setting.
• Experience collaborating with healthcare teams and understanding the nuances of integrated care models.
• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong comfort level with technology for telehealth practices.
• Commitment to maintaining professionalism, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality at all times.

Preferred Experience

At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a background in integrated care models or working with patients who have both psychological and medical conditions. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and a strong desire to pursue continued education in mental health methodologies will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
