Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify clients' unique stressors, mental health challenges, and personal goals, tailoring mindfulness techniques to meet their needs.
• Deliver mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) interventions to assist clients in reducing anxiety, enhancing emotional regulation, and cultivating a better appreciation for the present moment.
• Guide clients through mindfulness exercises, such as meditation and breathing techniques, fostering self-awareness and emotional balance in each therapeutic session.
• Facilitate group workshops and interactive classes on mindfulness and stress management, promoting community engagement and skill-sharing among participants.
• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare providers to craft comprehensive treatment plans that integrate mindfulness with other therapeutic modalities.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and mindfulness interventions to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in ongoing personal mindfulness practice and professional development, continuously honing your skills and knowledge in mindfulness-based approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Mental Health Therapist will work primarily with adults and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related issues. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and communities, and the therapist’s role is to provide compassionate, individualized care that empowers these individuals to achieve mental wellness and stability.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mindfulness therapies and their integration into clinical practice is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Extensive training or certifications in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques is highly desirable.
• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions and workshops on mindfulness or stress reduction strategies.
• Strong communication skills, capable of creating an inclusive and calming atmosphere for clients.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
