Coastal Light Psychotherapy Center is seeking passionate and dedicated licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our remote team in Los Angeles, California. In this full-time role, you will engage with individuals facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, providing you with the autonomy to manage your schedule while being a part of a collaborative team. Our work culture champions work-life balance and flexibility, with a typical work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We seek therapists who can adjust their schedules as necessary to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for clients to understand their emotional and psychological needs, utilizing tools such as standardized diagnostic interviews and clinical observation.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans employing various therapeutic modalities, like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy, to effectively address clients’ unique issues.
• Facilitate psychoeducational support groups that foster community support and address common challenges faced by clients, ensuring a safe space for discussion and connection.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate holistic care that addresses the various facets of mental health.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention services when clients experience mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and immediate support.
• Equip clients with knowledge about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them towards healing.
• Maintain precise and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical regulations, ensuring the protection of patient information.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to enhance service delivery and share best practices with colleagues, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements and research within the mental health therapy field to integrate new knowledge into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse clientele, including individuals battling moderate to severe mental health issues, children, adolescents, and families experiencing distress. Your approach is vital as you work to empower these clients by providing compassionate care tailored to their unique cultural and personal backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Must hold current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities.
• Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and develop effective, individual treatment plans based on clients' needs.
• Superb interpersonal and communication capabilities, with a strong emphasis on emotional intelligence and empathy in client interactions.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and a willingness to adapt to technological advancements utilized in our practice.
• Experience working with diverse populations and the ability to manage cases collaboratively alongside other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in conducting both individual and group therapy sessions within an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices that you can integrate into your sessions to support clients with complex histories.
• Previous exposure to community mental health services or non-profit environments is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
