Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations during preliminary interviews, thoroughly documenting client cases from initial consultation through to the completion of treatment.

• Assess the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients to develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to their specific needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices to guide discussions and promote healthy coping mechanisms.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Engage in regular follow-ups with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and devise strategies to overcome them, fostering resilience in clients.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and addressing mental health challenges to create a supportive home environment for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a counselor at Healthy Wave Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups across various age ranges and backgrounds. The practice addresses a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and more. Our telehealth platform enables us to reach underserved populations, emphasizing accessibility and inclusivity in mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for case documentation and management.
\n
• In-depth understanding of various mental health conditions, including addiction disorders, and the necessary therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal skills to establish a therapeutic rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a mental health counselor in clinical or community settings.

• Experience in group facilitation, especially with diverse populations facing unique challenges.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), enhancing service delivery and client engagement.

• Knowledge regarding the pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals and their impacts on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to monetary compensation, our benefits package includes:
