Work Environment

Physical Therapists work alongside supportive staff, including Physicians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring holistic care for our clients. Our facility operates Monday through Friday, with rotating hospital shifts on weekends to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Swift Peace Physical Therapy, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions to identify impairments, functional limitations, and health status changes. You will synthesize this information to develop personalized treatment plans that align with clinical guidelines and physician directives.

• Designing, implementing, and modifying therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. This includes utilizing various modalities, exercises, and technologies tailored to the patient's age and physical capabilities.

• Maintaining meticulous documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with medical regulations and standards. This documentation will support the medical necessity of treatments and ensure accurate billing and reporting.

• Supervising the activities of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel to promote effective patient care. You will provide guidance and education to ensure all team members contribute positively to patient outcomes.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust comprehensive care plans, ensuring seamless communication among all healthcare providers involved in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists primarily work with a diverse population of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Your ability to adapt treatment approaches to meet the varying needs of each patient will be crucial in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited university.

• A valid Physical Therapist license issued by the State of Virginia.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Proficiency in word processing and computerized documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
