Work Environment

Our facility is located in Bayonne, NJ, and operates within a vibrant community known for its rich cultural diversity. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a work-life balance while still delivering the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and develop individualized treatment plans that target their specific functional goals.
• Deliver compassionate therapy services, utilizing evidence-based practices that include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and various rehabilitation modalities.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic medical records (EMRs) and adjust treatment strategies based on ongoing assessments to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other health professionals, to provide integrated and holistic care for our patients.
• Provide education to patients and their families on therapeutic approaches, home exercise strategies, and preventive care to enhance recovery and maintain health.
• Initiate and implement fall prevention programs and safety protocols within community settings to mitigate risks for our geriatric patients.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education opportunities to stay abreast of the latest advances in physical therapy techniques and practices.
• Uphold our ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and integrity in all interactions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. Candidates with a Doctorate or Master's degree are preferred.
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMRs) and familiar with documentation standards.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in physical therapy and a commitment to utilizing the latest techniques.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in geriatric therapy is preferred. However, new graduates with a passion for geriatric care are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
