Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to provide vital counseling services from the comfort of your home. Our telehealth system enhances accessibility to mental health services while ensuring high-quality care. You will be expected to maintain a schedule that aligns with our regular office hours, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, which facilitates regular communication and collaboration with team members and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments of clients to identify their unique needs and challenges, formulating customized treatment plans that address specific emotional and mental health issues.

• Engage with clients through video or phone sessions, providing a safe and supportive space to discuss their mental health needs, fostering open dialogue for effective therapeutic relationships.

• Implement evidence-based coping strategies and therapeutic interventions tailored to trauma recovery.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of each session within our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to provide a holistic approach to client care, coordinating resources and services as needed.

• Monitor client progress throughout therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance emotional well-being and promote healing.

• Contribute to educational initiatives aimed at staff and clients regarding trauma, stress management, and coping mechanisms.

• Participate in ongoing professional development, including completing continuing education courses to maintain licensure and keep abreast of the latest mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be trauma injury patients facing a range of mental health challenges stemming from their experiences. Our clients may include those recovering from physical injuries, emotional distress, or situational trauma. By understanding the intricate relationship between trauma and mental health, you will be positioned to foster recovery and bolster resilience in a demographic that often does not receive adequate support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification to practice in Massachusetts.

• At least three years of professional experience working with trauma patients or similar populations in a counseling capacity.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy and active listening.

Compensation and Benefits\n
