Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide trauma-informed counseling services tailored to the unique emotional needs of individuals, couples, and families.

• Incorporate Christian counseling principles into therapy sessions for clients seeking faith-based guidance.

• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans aligned with each client's specific needs and therapeutic goals.

• Offer counseling services to clients referred by local churches, establishing partnerships that enhance community connections.

• Engage actively in community outreach efforts to build your clientele and enhance referral sources.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers and clinical counselors, to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.

• Maintain accurate client records and timely document progress notes in our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Communicate transparently with the center director regarding scheduling and availability to manage caseload efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse client population, including individuals and families facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Your expertise in integrating Christian counseling practices aids clients seeking a faith-based approach in their healing journeys. Qualifications\n

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Washington, D.C. is required.

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field is required.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the Bible and familiarity with Biblical counseling techniques is essential.

• Independent licensure in D.C. or completion of residency within 200 hours is mandatory.

• A strong desire to embrace and apply trauma-informed care practices in counseling is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 1 year of experience providing trauma counseling is required.

• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is highly desirable.
\n
• Formal training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is preferred, or you should be willing to complete the basic training within three months of hire.

• Strong knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and interventions that cater to a diverse client population.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
