Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, enabling the creation of personalized treatment plans.

• Implement individualized treatment strategies that focus on trauma recovery, utilizing methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through the process of understanding and coping with their trauma experiences.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care and ensure all client needs are being met effectively.

• Provide crisis intervention support, assisting clients during trauma-related emergencies and ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available to aid their recovery.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of client progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to, those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your efforts will help clients navigate their recovery journeys, equipping them with essential coping skills and a renewed sense of hope.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions and treatment plans efficiently.

• A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting focused on trauma care is preferred.

• Experience with delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
