Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing for flexibility while prioritizing patient care. As part of our collaborative team, you will have access to resources and support that foster an inclusive and effective therapeutic environment. We offer a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility possible based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' history of trauma and establish appropriate treatment strategies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and fostering resilience, ensuring that plans are regularly updated in response to patient progress.

• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to individual patient needs.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on helping patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote overall healing.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care for each patient.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, offering a calm and composed response to high-stress situations.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, enhancing their understanding and ability to cope.
\n
• Maintain rigorous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities emphasizing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay updated with current research and best practices in trauma therapy to ensure high-quality patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic primarily serves individuals impacted by various forms of trauma, including both adults and adolescents. You will work closely with clients facing challenges such as PTSD, complex trauma, and relational distress. Understanding the intricacies of trauma responses is vital to providing effective therapy and fostering an empathetic connection with your clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong knowledge and expertise in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building therapeutic approaches.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools.
\n
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is highly preferred.

• Experience implementing trauma-focused therapies and methodologies will be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
