Work Environment\n

Our work environment leverages telehealth technology, allowing counselors to conduct therapy from the comfort of their own homes while maintaining connection with patients. The schedule typically runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs. This setup allows us to provide convenient access to care for our clients, ensuring that they can receive support in a safe and familiar setting.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and their influences on current behavior and mental health.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans designed to facilitate trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address clients' specific needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that provide clients with tools and strategies to process trauma effectively.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to deliver integrated and comprehensive care.

• Respond to crisis situations, providing immediate support and interventions during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with skills and resources.

• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain patient information efficiently.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights on trauma-informed practices and enhance overall care.

• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Touchstone Therapy Center, you will primarily support individuals who are navigating the complexities of trauma. This includes working closely with clients experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role is critical in providing a safe space for them to explore their feelings, understand their experiences, and develop effective strategies for healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, specifically working with trauma-related disorders and therapies.

• Skills: Proficiency in trauma-informed care practices, effective interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to handle crises calmly.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and experience working within a multidisciplinary team are essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
