Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs, formulate diagnoses, and design evidence-based treatment plans that align with their individual goals.
• Deliver individualized therapy sessions while managing group dynamics in group therapy settings, adjusting approaches based on the unique therapeutic needs of the participants.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies for clients in acute distress, responding promptly and effectively to emergencies to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, generating progress notes and treatment documentation that meet ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to foster a cohesive treatment experience for clients.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, equipping them with knowledge about treatment options and available support resources within the community.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest best practices in mental health therapy and apply new methodologies to your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Hills on Top Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse clientele ranging from children and adolescents to adults and families facing mental health challenges. Your expertise will guide clients through various life difficulties, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, while fostering an environment of trust and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related discipline is required.
• Proven clinical assessment skills, with the ability to diagnose and tailor treatment plans effectively.
• Minimum of two years of experience working in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that enhance client engagement and collaboration.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
