Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, reflecting our commitment to providing flexible work opportunities while meeting the needs of our clients. You will utilize telehealth technology to conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and family consultations, making it easy for children and their guardians to engage in the therapeutic process from the comfort of their homes. While our standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there may be occasional evening shifts to accommodate the varied needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the psychological needs of children and adolescents, employing standardized testing and clinical interviews.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect each child's developmental stage and family dynamics, ensuring therapeutic strategies are culturally competent.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy to improve symptoms associated with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, empowering parents and guardians with tools to nurture supportive environments at home.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with child psychiatrists, educators, and other healthcare professionals to align on care strategies and provide holistic support to patients and their families.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, assessing risk factors and creating safety plans as required.
\n
• Educate children and families on mental health conditions, supportive treatment options, and valuable community resources to facilitate ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage case notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure confidentiality and data integrity.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development initiatives to stay current with practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

• Engage in continuous education and research, adapting therapeutic approaches based on new findings and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents, ranging from ages 5 to 18, who present with a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, attention issues, and behavioral problems. The therapist must demonstrate cultural competency and empathy while forming trusting relationships with young clients and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State.

• Extensive knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, including the latest evidence-based practices and treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in providing both individual and family therapy to children and adolescents in various settings.
\n
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate, child-centered approach that fosters trust and connection.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of relevant clinical experience working in child and adolescent mental health, particularly in outpatient settings.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.

Compensation and Benefits\n
