Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to understand clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances, considering factors such as cultural backgrounds and personal experiences.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to foster a safe and supportive environment.

• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches as needed to ensure the highest standards of care.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and intervention plans.

• Provide necessary support to family members and caregivers, educating them on how to manage mental health challenges effectively.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

• Identify and proactively address any behaviors that may impede clients' recovery, employing preventative measures to support their well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will include a diverse array of individuals seeking help for various mental health issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and addiction. You will work closely with children, adolescents, adults, and families, providing therapy that is both developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive. Your role will contribute significantly to the enhancement of their mental health, fostering resilience and coping strategies to improve their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Education: Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Licensure: Must hold a current and valid license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) in the state of California.

• Certifications: Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in a telehealth setting, is highly desirable.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems like AVATAR and familiarity with industry compliance and documentation standards.

• Strong understanding of comorbid conditions including addiction disorders, as well as the impact of medications prescribed by other healthcare providers.

• Knowledge of best practices as recognized by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
