Work Environment\n

As a remote-based Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will provide client services through a virtual platform. This position allows for flexibility in scheduling and eliminates the need for commuting while enabling you to reach clients who may otherwise have difficulties accessing mental health support. Our telehealth facility utilizes secure video conferencing technology to ensure confidentiality and ease of communication, fostering a welcoming environment for clients during sessions.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver evidence-based mindfulness interventions, including MBSR, tailored to meet clients' unique needs for stress reduction, relaxation, and overall well-being.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify clients' stressors, emotional challenges, and personal goals, enabling the creation of personalized treatment plans.

• Guide clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation, and breathing techniques to enhance self-awareness and facilitate emotional balance.

• Facilitate virtual group workshops and classes focused on mindfulness practices, resilience-building strategies, and stress management techniques.

• Integrate mindfulness practices thoughtfully into individual therapy sessions, addressing specific mental health concerns to support each client’s growth journey.

• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare providers to create a holistic treatment experience that includes mindfulness-based approaches.

• Maintain precise and organized documentation of client interactions, progress notes, treatment plans, and mindfulness interventions to monitor outcomes and inform ongoing care.

• Commit to personal mindfulness practice and engage in continuous professional development to deepen expertise in MBSR and therapeutic techniques.

Your role will involve working with a diverse population across various demographics, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and other mental health issues. Emphasizing a holistic approach, you will support clients from different backgrounds and life experiences, aiding them in cultivating awareness and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• Experience and proficiency in integrating mindfulness methodologies within therapeutic contexts.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a capacity for fostering supportive therapeutic relationships.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure clarity in client interaction and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution.

• Extensive training and familiarity with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and other mindfulness practices.

• Demonstrated experience with virtual therapy platforms and the ability to navigate technology for effective telehealth delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
