Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, emotional health, and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on promoting healing, resilience, and recovery from trauma-related conditions.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to guide therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to explore their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and foster healing.

• Engage in collaborative care by working closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient support.

• Provide immediate, compassionate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating calm and composed decision-making under pressure.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines, utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
