In this full-time remote position, you will engage in telehealth sessions, delivering expert mental health care to patients who have experienced trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and related conditions.

Work Environment\n

This position is 100% remote, leveraging telehealth technology to connect with clients across Corpus Christi, Texas, and beyond. You will work within a modern telehealth framework, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain continuity of care and comprehensive patient documentation. Our flexible work schedule primarily encompasses Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential for adaptability to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories, identifying tailored treatment approaches and therapeutic goals.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and fostering coping strategies.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging patients to share their experiences, develop emotional resilience, and learn essential coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate safety and mental health stability.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources within the community.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in professional development and ongoing training to stay current with best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with trauma survivors, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By employing patient-centered, evidence-based therapeutic techniques, you will support and empower individuals in reclaiming control over their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Capability to perform calmly in high-stress situations, providing decisive support as needed.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and familiarity with necessary computer applications.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
