Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is based onsite at our well-appointed Rehabilitation Facility located in the heart of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the physical needs and therapeutic goals of each patient.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans incorporating diverse therapeutic modalities that facilitate motion and improve mobility.
• Delivering evidence-based physical therapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training to enhance patient capabilities.
• Monitoring patient progress diligently and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Actively engaging and motivating patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive environment conducive to healing.
• Educating patients and their families about prevention strategies and healthy lifestyle choices aimed at improving strength, flexibility, balance, and overall coordination.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient care services and progress, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and doctors, to enhance the multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role exclusively focuses on the geriatric population, where you will have the opportunity to work closely with older adults facing various mobility challenges and health conditions. Our clients often have a background of including joint replacements, stroke rehabilitation, arthritis, and neurological disorders, among others. Your expertise in geriatric therapy will be vital in providing care that respects their unique needs and fosters their independence.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey is required.
• Strong knowledge base in physiotherapy techniques and rehabilitation strategies, particularly for the geriatric population.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills that facilitate positive interactions with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• Previous work experience in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility.

Compensation and Benefits
