Work Environment

You will work Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities, setting baseline metrics to track improvements and guide personalized treatment plans.
• Administer skilled and empathetic therapy interventions, utilizing a variety of techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities tailored for geriatric care.
• Regularly monitor and document patients' progress, making timely adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes and enhance recovery.
• Collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to coordinate well-rounded patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques, recommended home exercise programs, and strategies to prevent injury.
• Implement and oversee fall prevention programs and safety measures to mitigate risks in assisted living environments.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and commit to ongoing education to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse geriatric patient population, many of whom may have complex medical history and varying degrees of physical limitations. You will develop strong relationships with your patients, providing not only physical rehabilitation but also emotional support and encouragement as they navigate the challenges associated with aging.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Physical Therapy.
• Current, active state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
