Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to inform treatment decisions, utilizing clinical interviewing techniques and standardized assessment tools.
• Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions to clients across all age groups, effectively addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, setting clear therapeutic goals and interventions tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients enduring acute mental health crises, utilizing de-escalation strategies and immediate assessment techniques.
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions and the therapeutic process, providing coping strategies and resources to promote self-management and resilience.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measurements, adhering to legal and ethical standards to ensure client confidentiality and informed consent.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence when working with clients from diverse backgrounds, tailoring approaches to meet individual cultural and socioeconomic needs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to contribute to comprehensive clinical care and enhance the overall treatment experience for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, and adults from various cultural backgrounds. Many clients may be experiencing challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, or significant life transitions. Your empathetic approach and structured intervention strategies will be crucial in helping them navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.
• Proven clinical experience, proficiency in therapeutic modalities, and competence in therapy delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients, their families, and other professionals effectively.
• Demonstrated empathy and a strong capability to build trust and rapport with individuals.
• Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining professional conduct in all interactions.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity in mental health contexts.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in community-based mental health settings.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices specific to trauma-informed care or cognitive-behavioral therapy.
• Experience working with underserved populations or in a clinic setting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this role is competitive, with a yearly salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
