Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform trauma-informed mental health assessments that accurately evaluate patients' trauma histories and inform individualized treatment plans.

• Create and implement tailored treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the gradual attainment of personal goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and foster emotional resilience.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring the integration of care and that all team members are aligned in their approach to patient wellness.
\n
• Respond to trauma-related emergencies with crisis intervention techniques while providing emotional support to clients in distress.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma-related responses and available coping resources, strengthening their support systems and enhancing their recovery journey.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives aimed at trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest research, tools, and best practices that can enhance therapy outcomes for trauma survivors.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by various forms of trauma, with a special emphasis on those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By employing a trauma-informed framework, you will support clients through their recovery journeys while addressing their unique needs, fears, and aspirations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey is required.
\n
• A strong foundation in trauma-informed treatment modalities and a thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations.
\n
• Competency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications is necessary for maintaining accurate client information.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing trauma-focused therapy is preferred.

• A proven track record in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to trauma survivors.

Compensation and Benefits\n
