Work Environment\n

Our work settings allow for a remote lifestyle while ensuring our counselors have access to necessary support and collaboration from colleagues. The outpatient office environment enables counselors to connect with clients effectively and conduct crisis interventions as needed while maintaining flexibility. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; however, there may be occasional needs for evening or weekend hours depending on client availability.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform thorough crisis assessments for clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate intervention tailored to individual needs.

• Deliver prompt counseling services to individuals requiring urgent support, employing evidence-based crisis intervention techniques.

• Provide continuous support through follow-up care, recommending appropriate resources and treatment options to promote long-term recovery.

• Utilize de-escalation strategies and crisis intervention methodologies to manage high-stress situations, minimizing harm and fostering a sense of safety for clients.

• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills in crisis counseling and trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on individuals struggling with addiction and mental health crises. Counselors will work with diverse populations that may include adolescents, adults, and families dealing with a variety of issues including substance misuse, trauma, emotional distress, and suicidal ideations. Our clients come from a wide range of backgrounds, and cultural competency is essential in ensuring that all clients feel understood and respected.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
