Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate and understand each patient’s specific trauma history.

• Utilize therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to provide effective interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and fostering healing in a supportive setting.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring prompt and effective assistance to those in need.

• Educate both patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms while guiding them to appropriate resources.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation consistent with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate records of all patient interactions.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and enhance collective treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from severe trauma, including victims of domestic violence, veterans experiencing PTSD, and individuals coping with complex trauma histories. You will play a vital role in guiding these individuals through their recovery process, creating a personalized therapeutic journey that acknowledges their unique experiences and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Massachusetts.

• Proven knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care practices.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
