Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver targeted mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to help patients manage stress, promote relaxation, and enhance overall well-being.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify clients' specific stressors, mental health challenges, and therapeutic goals, tailoring interventions to each individual's unique needs.

• Guide clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation practices, and breathing techniques that promote greater self-awareness and emotional regulation.

• Lead group workshops and educational sessions focused on mindfulness strategies, stress management techniques, and resilience-building practices suitable for diverse populations.

• Integrate mindfulness into individual therapy sessions, addressing specific mental health concerns while promoting the client's personal growth.

• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive treatment plan that incorporates mindfulness practices for improved client outcomes.

• Maintain accurate documentation of treatment plans, client progress, and the effectiveness of mindfulness interventions in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse client base seeking to improve their mental health through mindfulness-based interventions. Clients may include individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and personal challenges through an evidence-based lens. You will empower them to cultivate self-awareness and develop effective coping strategies tailored to their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to foster a supportive and calming therapeutic environment for clients.

• Experience working with diverse patient populations and a commitment to promoting inclusivity and empathy in therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

• Advanced training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is preferred, although highly motivated candidates with interest and basic knowledge will also be considered.

• Prior experience conducting mindfulness workshops or group therapy beneficial.
