Work Environment

This position is entirely onsite within the patients' homes, allowing you to deliver hands-on care in a more comfortable setting for the individuals you serve. You will work a typical week from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours, which allows for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical capabilities and developing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and exercises aimed at enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Maintain clear and open communication with both patients and their caregivers, ensuring they are informed about treatment protocols and progress.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss treatment objectives and to maximize patient outcomes.
• Document progress and treatment outcomes accurately in accordance with legal and insurance guidelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Engage in continuous learning and development activities to enhance your professional skills and stay current with best practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse range of patient populations, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program recognized by the APTA or CAPTE.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, to ensure effective patient education and relationship-building.
• Proficient in using word processing and computer applications to maintain documentation and communicate with the clinical team.

Preferred Experience

While not a strict requirement, experience in outpatient physical therapy settings or specialized training in areas such as sports medicine or pediatrics will be advantageous. A passion for community outreach and a desire to engage with patients on a personal level will set you apart in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
