Work Environment

This position is designed for a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining connection with our outpatient team. You will primarily engage with patients via telehealth platforms, ensuring that our services are accessible and convenient for families. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the unique needs and circumstances of children and adolescents.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that reflect the developmental stages of each patient and consider family dynamics.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions, empowering caregivers to cultivate a nurturing and supportive environment for their children.
• Collaborate with our team of child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive, coordinated approach to treatment.
• Provide crisis intervention for urgent mental health situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of young patients.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, various treatment options, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate and secure documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards while leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage actively in team meetings and case reviews, providing valuable input based on your clinical experiences and observations.
• Stay current with best practices, emerging research, and advancements in child and adolescent mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your work will be with children and adolescents aged 5 to 18 years who are experiencing various mental health issues. This includes individuals facing anxiety disorders, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other behavioral challenges. You will be instrumental in identifying their specific needs and developing strategies to guide their emotional and psychological growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• You must hold a current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and best practices in therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are necessary, along with a compassionate, child-centered approach to treatment.
• A demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families is crucial.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in a clinical setting focusing on child and adolescent psychology.
• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy is advantageous.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and technology used for remote counseling is a plus, enhancing service efficiency and patient communication.

Compensation and Benefits
