Work Environment\n

This role offers a remote work setting, which provides flexibility to both our staff and the individuals we serve. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team of practitioners through virtual meetings and consultations. While most work will be conducted independently, regular team check-ins and case consultations will be conducted to ensure cohesive care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and emotional statuses.

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing your expertise to stabilize patients effectively.

• Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care management for all patients.

• Educating patients and families on trauma responses and available resources to foster understanding and resilience.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in professional development activities and staying updated on the latest research in trauma therapy to enhance service provision.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on serving adult and adolescent survivors of trauma who may present with mental health conditions such as PTSD, anxiety disorders, and depressive disorders. Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience in a counseling setting, specializing in trauma therapy.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and the latest trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proven experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• The ability to remain composed during high-stress situations to effectively support patients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications.
\n
• A collaborative spirit, essential for working within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is necessary, candidates who have specialized training in specific trauma therapies or significant experience in crisis interventions may be prioritized. Familiarity with various mental health disorders and treatment frameworks will further strengthen your candidacy.
