Work Environment\n

In this remote role, you will be integrated into a dynamic and collaborative community health clinic environment. While interacting virtually with fellow clinicians, you will have access to robust support systems and innovative therapeutic practices to deliver the highest quality of care. The role requires flexibility in scheduling to accommodate patient needs, with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history, understanding their unique challenges and identifying appropriate treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies, ensuring that each plan reflects the patient's personal goals and therapeutic needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated patient care, sharing insights and strategies to enhance treatment effectiveness.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and stabilization for patients in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to facilitate continued support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient record-keeping.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to refine treatment approaches and contribute to ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, continually enhancing your own professional skills and the therapeutic services offered.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and significant life events. By providing trauma-informed care, you will help clients understand and navigate their emotional responses, equipping them with tools to foster resilience and healing.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey is required.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably with a focus on trauma.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, demonstrating resilience and professionalism.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Strong collaborative skills as a member of a multidisciplinary team, promoting a unified approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in trauma recovery services within a community health setting is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with community resources for trauma survivors and the ability to refer clients appropriately.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $104,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
