Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the unique trauma history of each patient, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews to guide treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping strategy enhancement.

• Administer evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring that interventions are tailored to each patient’s specific needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, learn effective coping mechanisms, and encourage personal healing journeys.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring swiftly coordinated care and appropriate follow-up.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms while actively guiding them toward available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, as well as organizational standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and activities targeted at professional development and trauma-informed practice enhancement.

• Continuously update knowledge of the latest research and best practices in the field of trauma therapy to incorporate into therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse population of individuals experiencing the effects of trauma. Patients may present with complex PTSD, major depressive disorder related to past trauma, or various dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in settings focused on trauma-informed care.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications to ensure accurate, timely documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n
