Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma histories, needs, and strengths, formulating individualized treatment strategies.

• Design and execute customized therapeutic plans that focus on facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience among clients.
\n
• Implement evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Engage in direct therapy sessions to support clients in processing their trauma experiences, developing effective coping mechanisms, and promoting emotional healing.

• Collaborate cohesively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for all clients, enhancing their therapeutic experience.

• Provide immediacy crisis intervention for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their safety and mental well-being.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies while empowering them with available resources for support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records while adhering to legal and ethical standards pertinent to mental health documentation.

• Participate actively in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on the latest advancements in trauma-informed care.

• Continuously research and apply best practices in trauma therapy, ensuring the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our target demographic includes individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to military service members, survivors of abuse, and individuals coping with significant life events. Your expertise and empathetic approach will be pivotal in leading these individuals towards healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by an approach that is empathetic and non-judgmental.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software to document client progress.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly within trauma-focused therapeutic settings. Familiarity with delivering trauma-based therapies will be beneficial to your success in this role, along with a strong commitment to remaining calm and focused in high-stress situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
