Work Environment\n

This role is based in a supportive remote outpatient setting that emphasizes teamwork and professional development. Operating from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will be part of a collaborative team environment where occasional evening shifts may be required to accommodate patient demands. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately evaluate the psychological needs of each child or adolescent.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect evidence-based practices while considering the developmental stages and unique family dynamics of each patient.

• Facilitate individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing proven therapeutic modalities to support mental health improvement.

• Provide family therapy sessions focused on empowering parents and caregivers to foster stable, supportive environments conducive to their children’s growth.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure aligned and comprehensive treatment pathways that address all aspects of care.

• Manage crisis interventions for young patients facing urgent mental health emergencies, ensuring swift and effective support.

• Educate children, adolescents, and their families about mental health topics, treatment options, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans adhering to all compliance guidelines.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing training sessions to elevate clinical practices and share knowledge with peers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with children and adolescents facing a wide range of mental health challenges. This contact extends not only to the young individuals themselves but also to their families, recognizing the critical role of a supportive network in effective treatment. You will be responsible for understanding and exploring family dynamics that influence patient behavior and emotional health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and therapeutic intervention strategies.

• Experience providing individual and family therapy to youth populations, demonstrating a track record of fostering growth and resilience.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to connect effectively with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a solid understanding of relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional experience in crisis intervention, family therapy, or working specifically with child and adolescent populations will be prioritized.
