Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate the patient's trauma history and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement individualized treatment approaches utilizing evidence-based modalities like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate ongoing individual and group therapy sessions, providing patients with essential coping strategies and helping them process their trauma effectively.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, holistic care for each patient.

• Respond promptly to crisis situations by providing immediate support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources to enhance their support system.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients served by San Antonio Counseling Center are primarily individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to interpersonal violence, systemic oppression, and traumatic stress in their lives. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, specializing in trauma-focused therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
