Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments for clients, focusing on understanding their trauma history and tailoring evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma healing and resilience. This may involve therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual therapy sessions and group therapies, guiding participants in processing their trauma, coping with challenges, and fostering a community of support and recovery.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for all clients.

• Provide crisis intervention as necessary, equipping clients with immediate strategies for coping and safety during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources for ongoing support and healing.

You will work with a diverse clientele, primarily focusing on the LGBTQ+ community and individuals who have faced various forms of trauma. This challenging yet rewarding position requires sensitivity to the unique experiences of trauma survivors, including those grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or a licensed psychologist.

• An understanding of trauma-related conditions and trauma-informed therapeutic practices.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client care.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, reflecting your skills and experience.
