Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed initial assessments and evaluations to ascertain clients' mental health statuses and individualized treatment needs.
• Craft and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific goals and therapeutic requirements.
• Provide individual psychotherapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices and solution-focused approaches, ensuring a responsive and adaptive treatment manner.
• Deliver high-quality virtual therapy sessions through telehealth technology, ensuring clients have access to consistent support and care.
• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, demonstrating the ability to respond calmly and effectively to clients in distress.
• Participate in ongoing professional growth via workshops, training programs, and supervision meetings, aiming to stay abreast of best practices within the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients vary widely in their backgrounds and mental health needs, ranging from anxiety and depression to more complex diagnoses requiring tailored therapeutic interventions. As a therapist at Medchoice, you will have the privilege of working with diverse populations, including adults from various walks of life, contributing to their recovery progress and mental health goals.

Qualifications

• A current and valid state license as a Mental Health Counselor, including but not limited to:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients, ensuring a safe therapeutic space.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• No history of disciplinary actions on professional licensure.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applicants with varying levels of experience, those with a proven history of utilizing teletherapy tools and managing remote client relationships will be given preference. Experience in crisis intervention and providing evidence-based treatments is highly advantageous.
