Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary evaluations, including mental health assessments and initial case documentation to establish a comprehensive understanding of client needs.

• Develop customized treatment plans tailored to the individual requirements of clients, considering their unique challenges and goals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques and ensuring a supportive environment for all participants.
\n
• Monitor client progress with detailed record-keeping and regular reassessments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.

• Collaborate actively with interdisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals to create cohesive treatment strategies that enhance client care.

• Maintain ongoing communication with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers regarding client status and support for those admitted to external facilities.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement proactive strategies to manage these effectively.

• Provide guidance and support to family members of clients, helping them navigate the complexities of mental and behavioral health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor with Comfort of Home Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, and families dealing with various mental health issues. Our clients may experience depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, and other mental health disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.
\n
• Competence in utilizing electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to manage documentation efficiently.
\n
• Understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, including substance use disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the guidelines and best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by exceptional interpersonal abilities.
\n
• Empathetic and supportive nature that fosters trust and openness in counseling relationships.
