Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, identifying suitable treatment paths.

• Develop, implement, and refine personalized treatment plans that are centered around trauma recovery, emphasizing resilience-building and individual growth.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address trauma-related issues.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their experiences and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, responding promptly and professionally to patient needs.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources to foster understanding and growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with trauma survivors, including individuals facing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role demands a high level of empathy and responsiveness to the unique nuances of each patient's experiences, ensuring that therapeutic interventions are tailored to their specific needs and trauma backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in Illinois.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is required.
